🌟 Bridging the Gap: Introducing the Community Hive Project! 🌟

Over the past decade in the disability and aged care industry, I’ve seen how often funding gets lost on products that just aren’t the right fit.

Many people never get the chance to truly see, touch, or experience these aids before purchasing, which can be especially challenging for those with sensory needs.

With the Community Hive Project, I want to make sure no one ends up with equipment they can’t use or never really needed.
We aim to provide a space where you can actually try out samples and hopefully access some free products along the way.
Our goal is to help you find exactly what you need the first time—no guesswork, just real hands-on experience.

Welcome to The Community Hive Project 🐝

Our goal is simple:

Create connection, support, and opportunities for people to trial disability products before purchasing them as well as free activities and amazing volunteer support teams available to provide complimentary care for a few hours whilst everyone has a relaxing day together.

Hello everyone 👋
My name is Sara and I run a disability support service in Western Sydney.

After working closely with individuals and families in our community, I saw a need for something more — a way for people with disabilities to trial equipment before purchasing and a place where families can connect and support each other.

That’s how The Community Hive Project 🐝 was born.

Our goal is to build a mobile community trailer that will travel around Sydney offering equipment trials, information about providers & services in the local area, and free community BBQ events to bring people together.

This is just the beginning of our journey and we can’t wait to share it with you.
