Three years since 7 October 2023, families in Gaza continue to live with loss, displacement and profound humanitarian need.

Despite the ceasefire framework, civilians continue to be killed and injured, while restrictions on essential supplies, funding shortages and widespread destruction continue to affect access to food, healthcare, clean water and safe shelter. The UN reported this week that Gaza's health situation remains critical and that restrictions continue to impede the humanitarian response.

Through the Mercy Hub in South Gaza, Al Mustafa Welfare Trust and our partners are continuing to support displaced families with shelter, fresh bread, clean water, food packs, hot meals and essential hygiene supplies.

For families who have endured so much, this support cannot stop.

A simple eye examination can be the first step towards restoring someone's sight.

A cataract is a clouding of the eye's natural lens. It can make vision blurry and, without treatment, may lead to sight loss.

At our recent free eye camp in Sehjra, Punjab, Pakistan, 456 people received eye examinations, with glasses and medication provided where needed.

38 people were diagnosed with cataracts and referred for surgery at Al Mustafa Eye Hospital in Lahore.

Your donation helps fund free screenings, identify treatable sight problems and provide cataract operations for people who cannot afford them.

Because clearer sight can mean greater independence and being able to take part more fully in everyday life.

This Jumu’ah, remember that doing good doesn’t always have to be something big.

A kind word, checking in on someone, making du’a for another person or giving what you can may seem small, but every sincere act of goodness has value.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are most consistent, even if they are small.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

In Pakistan, 30 women have completed vocational sewing training and received sewing machines to help put their new skills into practice.

With practical skills and the tools to use them, women have greater opportunities to earn an income and build more secure, independent futures.
