The Mamma Lena and Dino Gustin Foundation

The Mamma Lena and Dino Gustin Foundation Foundation established in 2001 with the express purpose of performing random acts of kindness and assistance to people in need.

The Mamma Lena & Dino Gustin Foundation was established in 2001 with the express purpose of performing random acts of kindness and offer assistance to people in need. These acts typify the selfless contributions made by two remarkable human beings from the time they arrived in Australia in 1956 until their deaths in 2003 and 2004 respectively. The Foundation is a lasting legacy for Mamma Lena in

recognition of the role that both she and Dino played in the Italian and broader Australian community. Official recognition of Mamma Lena and Dino’s efforts and achievements included an M.B.E. (Australia-1968) and Commendatore (Italy-1999) for Mamma Lena and an Order of Cavaliere from the Italian Government for Dino. In April 2013 the ACT Place Names Committee announced that a street in the Canberra suburb of Coombs will be named Gustin Street in their honour.
