It was a very special honour for some of our Youth to proudly wear his beautiful traditional Cretan costumes during their time in Crete - an experience that allowed them to connect even more closely with their Cretan heritage.

Sifis’ generosity, passion and unwavering dedication are truly something to be admired.

We are deeply grateful for the friendship and unwavering support Sifis continues to show our Federation. We look forward to many more special moments and opportunities for collaboration between the Cretan Federation of Australia & New Zealand and the Βιγλάτορες Χανιά, as together we continue to celebrate, preserve and pass on the culture, traditions and spirit of Crete to generations to come 🇬🇷

It’s hard to believe it’s already been over two weeks!
Performing against the breathtaking backdrop of the Venetian Harbour of Chania following the Strata was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A sea of people cheered and clapped along to the live music of Manolis Kontaros and his band members, Stelios Papadakis, Michalis Georvasakis, Kyriakos Kontekas and Kostas Frantzeskakis. A memory our Youth will cherish forever 💙🇬🇷

On behalf of the 2026 CFANZ Youth Trip Tour Leader, Chaperone and Youth, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Εμμανουήλ Πετράκης and his team from the Naval Museum of Chania for generously opening the lighthouse just for our group.
This unique opportunity allowed our Youth to experience something truly special.
