It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that the Executive Committee and Board Members of Australian Sanatan Youth & Sport INC (ASYS) extend our heartfelt condolences to Bhai Subhas and his entire family on the passing of his beloved mother yesterday afternoon.

The loss of a mother is one of life's greatest sorrows. A mother's love, guidance, sacrifices, and unwavering support leave an everlasting imprint on the hearts of her children and family. During this time of immense grief, we pray that the cherished memories of her life, love, and blessings bring comfort and strength to all who mourn her passing.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF TWO NEW MEMBERS TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS

The Launch of 11th SWC was even more significant for two of our ASYS executives - David Kamlesh Prasad and Arvin Sharma who attended the occasion as the newly appointed members of the Board of Governors.

A few weeks prior to the launch, both these executives earned their appointments to the Sanatan World Cup Sports & Cultural "Board of Governors" in recognition of their leadership and service.

Their appointments recognise their dedication, experience and longstanding commitment to serving the Sanatan community through sport and cultural development. Their inclusion will further strengthen an already capable and effective Board as it continues to guide the Sanatan World Cup towards an even brighter future.

Australian Delegation Demonstrates Unity

The launch of the 11th Sanatan World Cup in Auckland on 25 July 2026 was a spectacular celebration of Sanatan unity, culture and sport, attended by officials from Australian Sanatan Youth & Sport (ASYS) and members of the Sanatan World Cup Board of Governors.

The NZ Sanatan WC organisers delivered an outstanding event, creating an atmosphere of warmth, professionalism and cultural pride that truly reflected the significance of the occasion. Special recognition must go to the mastermind behind the event, bhai Jiten Lal, whose vision, dedication and attention to detail produced an unforgettable launch worthy of an international tournament.

When ASYS proudly created history by successfully hosting the Sanatan WC in Sydney in 2024, the NZ officials stood shoulder to shoulder with their Australian counterparts to ensure its success. In Auckland, it was Australia's turn to return that unwavering support—and that commitment was demonstrated in full.

Officials from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane travelled to Auckland to stand in solidarity with their NZ counterparts, reinforcing a simple but powerful truth: actions speak louder than words. When sports and cultural leaders are united by the shared values of trust, loyalty, commitment and pride in their Sanatan heritage, they build an unbreakable foundation that strengthens not only the Sanatan World Cup but the global Sanatan family.

In his speech, ASYS President Subhas Sharma commented on striving to lift the benchmark on each occasion. He further reiterated the 2024 SWC theme "Vasudhavai Kutumbakam" - yeh sara jagat ek hi pariwar hai.

Congratulations to the NZ organising team for delivering an exceptional launch and to all those whose collective efforts continue to unite Sanatan communities across the world through friendship, culture and sport.

Great atmosphere created by NZ Sanatan WC board, speeches reiterated cultural significance of Sanatan World Cup. Our President Shri Subhas Sharma added that SWC provided excellent opportunity for establishing life long friendship as Lord Krishna did when he played "genth" around Yamuna river banks. We need to follow the Lord's footsteps ensuring friendship, loyalty and trust amongst friends. This is what builds life long friends.
