Sydney Consulting Club (SCC) is the premier consulting club on campus at the University of Sydney.

The Sydney Consulting Club (SCC) aims to develop the skills, experience and network for students, from all faculties, to enhance their interests in consulting and strategy through SCC events, products and case competitions. We are targeted towards motivated students who are: pursuing a career in any form of consulting, want to participate in the growing case competition culture on the domestic and

international scales, and overall want to develop their professional skills which will carry them further into their career. We offer regular workshops and case preparation, case competitions and our student oriented careers guide to provide clarity and direction for students pursuing a career in consulting. The OC&C Women’s Network is hosting OC&C Women in Consulting – an evening for penultimate-year students who are curious about strategy consulting, problem-solving and creating meaningful business impact.

Join them for an interactive evening where you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Gain insight into what strategy consulting actually looks like
• Build problem-solving and practical case-study skills
• Hear directly from women at different stages of their careers at OC&C
• Ask questions and gain practical advice about a career in consulting
• Connect with the OC&C team and other like-minded students

As a Summer Intern, you'll spend up to 10 weeks experiencing what it's like to be a management consultant at Kearney. The internship is an immersive, hands-on experience where you'll work alongside some of the industry's best consultants on real projects for real clients.

💡 Are you keen on discovering what problems real-world consultants solve? 💡

Kearney, in collaboration with BusinessOne Consulting, FMAA and USYD SCC, is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 Kearney National Case Competition.

Kearney is a leading global management consulting firm with a growing presence in more than 40 countries, having advised a range of large corporations, governments, and organisations worldwide since its founding in 1926.

Like previous iterations, the National Case Competition aims to give students across Australia the opportunity to work on a real business challenge co-designed with Kearney. Teams will be asked to analyse the problem, develop strategic recommendations, and present their solution, giving you a taste of what a consultant does!

🏆 PRIZES:
First place will receive a fast-track opportunity to the Assessment Centre for Kearney’s Summer Internship, subject to meeting prerequisites (penultimate-year students only).

📅 KEY DATES:
Monday, 13th of July - Registrations Open
Monday 27th of July - Registrations Close and Case Release
Sunday, 9th of August - Initial Case Submissions
Tuesday, 18th of August - University Heats
Thursday, 20th of August - State Finals
Monday, 24th of August - National Finals

📢 COMPETITION LAYOUT:
Following the initial case submission, selected teams will advance to the University Heats*, where they will compete against other teams from their university.

The top-performing teams from each university will then advance to the State Finals*, competing against finalists from other universities within their state.

From there, the strongest team will be selected for the National Finals, where they will present to Kearney representatives and compete for the national title.

* - Please note that some University Heats and State Finals will be consolidated based on the number of submissions and teams competing. This will be communicated later if you are selected to progress through the competition.

👥 TEAM REQUIREMENTS:
Teams can comprise up to four members, with students from all years invited to compete; however, there must be at least one female member.

Participants can register as individuals and will be automatically assigned to teams prior to case release.
