headspace Bankstown was proud to attend the launch of the Chester Hill Community Garden Aboriginal Tile Mural.

Our Work and Study Coordinator, Cass, is a proud Aboriginal woman and was thrilled to partner with the Bankstown First Nations Cultural Hub to work alongside their young people in creating this beautiful mural. From inception to creation, we’ve been there every step of the way and now it’s a permanent fixture for the whole community to enjoy.

If you’re in the area, make sure you stop by the Chester Hill Community Garden to check it out.

It is not too late to join in on the fun! If you would like to sign up for our last 2 sessions, feel free to follow this link: https://events.humanitix.com/adulting-101-week-3-to-6

Each month at headspace Bankstown, we hand over our whiteboard to the creative young minds who walk through our doors. They choose a theme, bring their ideas to life, and transform our space with their talent and imagination.

April’s theme was “Nature”, and our young people absolutely ran with it. It’s always inspiring to see how they interpret each theme in their own unique way.

I can’t wait to share the artworks for May’s theme soon.

Recently, there was a walk-a-thon for the Mayor's 24-Hour Challenge for Mental Health. This raised awareness of the important message of young people's mental health after a young persons tragic death to su***de in the area. The event raised funds for Charlotte's Wish, a mental wellbeing program for young people, helping them develop the resilience and skills to overcome challenges and thrive. The headspace Bankstown team was grateful to have the opportunity to be there.

headspace Bankstown was excited to be invited to the PCYC event Juice for Youth at Chullora Shopping Centre for 2026 Youth Week. Young people had the opportunity to get a free juice while they engaged with police and youth services that provide free supports across the Canterbury Bankstown area. We were proud of our Youth Reference Group members who volunteered their time to support our Community Development Officer at our stall. See you at the next event!
