What a beautiful surprise for Early Childhood Educators’ Day! 🥺

Today, some of the amazing young people from our Youth Team popped over with Brendan to surprise our educators with a gorgeous card and a VERY generous supply of chocolate… they definitely know the way to our hearts! 😂🍫

It was such a thoughtful gesture and one that had our whole team smiling. We absolutely love the connections we have across Community Junction Inc, and seeing our services take the time to celebrate and appreciate one another makes days like today even more special.

A HUGE thank you to Community Junction Inc Youth Spaces and their young people for thinking of us, spoiling us and making our Educators’ Day that little bit sweeter! ❤️

Looking for a fun and engaging way for your children to spend the upcoming school holidays? ☀️ Book into our September/October 2026 Vacation Care at North St Marys Children’s Centre!

Catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6, from all schools and areas — we’ve got you covered! 🙌

🎨 With excursions, workshops, messy play, sports, camping fun, pottery and MORE, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

• Bookings are ESSENTIAL, as staffing will be rostered according to attendance.
• 🚫 Vacation Care will NOT operate Monday 5th October due to the Public Holiday.
• 🚫 The service will also be CLOSED Monday 12th October for Staff Development Day.
• 🎒 Children return to school Tuesday 13th October 2026.
• 👟 Please ensure children bring enclosed shoes, a labelled refillable water bottle and suitable clothing each day.
• ☀️ Please apply sunscreen before arrival. Educators will reapply sunscreen throughout the day.

🌸 SPRING VACATION CARE BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN! 🌸

The spring school holidays are almost here, and St Marys OOSH has an exciting program planned! Children can look forward to action-packed activities, new adventures and plenty of opportunities to have fun with friends.

Program highlights include:
🏁 An exciting Amazing Race workshop
🏛️ An excursion to the Powerhouse Museum
🎂 A very special celebration as St Marys OOSH turns ONE!

We’ve had so much fun celebrating the magic of books, stories and imagination! ✨

Our team joined in the Book Week fun by dressing up as the colourful emotions from Inside Out — bringing plenty of colour, laughter and a whole lot of feelings to our day! 💜💚💛❤️🩷

🌟 Children’s Voices in Our Program 🌟

At St Mary’s OOSH, we value children’s voices and believe they should have a real say in the experiences we provide.

Our mind maps are one of the ways we capture children’s interests, ideas and suggestions. Children can share what they would like to do the following week, activities they want to explore, and even ideas for upcoming Vacation Care programs.

By listening to children and incorporating their ideas into our planning, we create a program that reflects their interests, encourages choice and supports meaningful learning through experiences they are excited to be part of. 💭✨

At Montgrove OOSH, our children each week share their thoughts, ideas, interests and experiences through our Children's Voices Book. 📖 💬

These pages provide children with meaningful opportunities to express themselves, contribute their ideas and have an active voice in our program. From sharing their favourite activities and interests to suggesting new experiences and reflecting on what is important to them, each child’s contribution helps us understand what they enjoy, what they are curious about and how we can continue to extend their learning.

As educators, we value listening to children and using their voices to help shape our program and create learning opportunities that are meaningful, engaging and responsive to their individual interests and needs.

We love seeing the children’s personalities, creativity and ideas shine through each page! ✨
