🌿 National Reconciliation Week at North St Marys Children’s Centre 🌿

This week, our children have been exploring what reconciliation means through meaningful conversations, creativity, and reflection.

Together, we created a beautiful display featuring children’s handprints surrounding a special message. 🖐🏽

“We show respect, we share this land, we walk together hand in hand.”

Through experiences like these, children are learning about respect, belonging, inclusion, and the importance of recognising and valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories.

We are proud to create opportunities for our children to learn about walking together, listening to one another, and building a future based on understanding and respect! ❤️

Our North St Marys Preschool group had such a wonderful time attending National Simultaneous Storytime at North St Marys Neighbourhood Centre yesterday! 📚✨

The children had an absolute blast exploring all the fun activities, engaging with the story Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller, and spending time together with the wider community 🦘💛

A huge thank you to Community Junction Inc, Penrith City Council and Mission Australia for organising such a beautiful event for children and families. It was so lovely to see so many smiles, laughter, and excited little learners throughout the morning! 🌿☀️

We are so grateful to be part of such a supportive and connected community! 😀

🌟 Thank You, St Marys Rugby Leagues Club! 🌟

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the amazing team at St Marys Rugby League Club
for their incredibly generous support of our OT and Speech Program here at North St Marys Children’s Centre. 💙

Thanks to their contribution, we are able to continue providing children and families with access to weekly Occupational Therapy and Speech support within our learning environment — helping children grow in confidence, communication, development and school readiness. ✨

This program has already made such a positive impact on so many of our children and families, and we are truly grateful for the continued support from our local community.

The children were also so excited to create a special thank you artwork to show their appreciation! 🎨💙

Thank you for believing in the importance of early intervention and supporting the learning and development of children in our community. 🌱

🍜 Norths Favourite Recipe This Week 🍜

Our Mi Goreng Noodles have officially become one of the favourite meals at Norths! 😋✨

The children have absolutely been loving this recipe at meal times, with many asking for seconds and families even requesting the recipe to try at home! 💛

We love seeing children enjoy a variety of flavours and ingredients while sharing positive meal experiences together with their peers. A big thank you to our amazing cook Carol for creating meals that are not only delicious, but enjoyed by so many of our children! 👩‍🍳✨

At Montgrove, our set up and pack away OOSH service, educators thoughtfully create environments within our shared school spaces that are fit for purpose and support the children’s wellbeing, learning and play each day. 🧘🏼‍♀️💆🏻‍♀️

Whether we are based in the school hall or library, educators intentionally set up a variety of experiences and resources that encourage creativity, social connection, independence and child-led play.
