Girevoy Sport Australia Welcome to the official home of Australian Kettlebell Sport (GSAA) New members, including non-competitive members are always welcome to join as a member.

Established in 2007, the Girevoy Sport Australia Association (GSAA) is a self-funded & not-for-profit egalitarian organisation that has been legally incorporated in the state of New South Wales since 2009. GSAA is affiliated with the IUKL (International Union of Kettlebell Lifting) & WKSF (World Kettlebell Sport Federation) to popularize and promote competitive Kettlebell lifting. Our purpose is t

o establish and nurture a framework of support for the development of the sport at regional, state and national levels as per Australian National Sports Authority Guidelines. We also promote Kettlebell lifting for fun & fitness and we are happy to provide information to athletes from other sports. Girevoy (Kettlebell) sport is a unique cyclical power endurance sport . It combines some technical elements of Olympic weight lifting with aerobic qualities seen in whole body endurance sports such as rowing and cross country skiing. Athletes generally compete in 10 minute events, however relay races, marathons (up to 12 hours), strength challenges and power juggling are additional facets to competitive lifting.

🏆 QUEENSLAND TAKES STATE OF ORIGIN/TRANS TASMAN

What a day on the platforms. With 100+ lifters from across Australia and New Zealand competing in State of Origin / TransTasman, it all came down to just 8 points.

Queensland held off Victoria to claim the 2026 State of Origin title.

A massive day of kettlebell sport, competition, community and our biggest event yet!

State of Origin / Trans Tasman is officially set to be the largest competition in Girevoy Sport Australia history. 🇦🇺🇳🇿

More than 100 lifters from Australia & New Zealand will take to the platforms on 22 August. A massive milestone for the community and a great sign of just how much this sport continues to grow.
