This month we read about: Superannuation funds are workers’ capital, but the management of those funds can be controlled by firms whose whole existence is to reduce costs and make fast money. Workers’ retirement income, care, facilities and health are directly undermined.

Abuse at work is chronic in many countries. A UK trade union study reveals the extent. A different kind of attack on your rights is the way so called platform ride share companies seek to further reduce the rights and income of its “contractors”.

Work continues on the Amalgamated Printing Trades Union of NSW banner from 1927. Thanks to Karen Coote and Clair Aspden.This was predecessor of the Printing and Kindred Industries Union now part of AMWU - Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union . Here you can see what a difference carefully removing dirt and old shellac can make. Colour alters dramatically and clarity of the old presses is sooo much improved
