👮‍♀️ Celebrating Service Above Self in the Blue Mountains 👮‍♂️

Last night, Rotarians and community members gathered at Katoomba RSL for the Blue Mountains Police Officer of the Year Awards—an inspiring evening recognising the dedication, courage and outstanding service of local NSW Police officers.

Congratulations to every nominee and award recipient. Each has made a meaningful contribution to the safety and wellbeing of our Blue Mountains community. Special congratulations to Constable Robert Jinks, pictured receiving the Community Award.

It was wonderful to see all our Blue Mountains Rotary clubs united in support of the event:

The Rotary Club of Lower Blue Mountains turned out and flew the Rotary flag today at the Blue Mountains City Council Lapstone Hill Tunnel Open Day in Glenbrook.
-The Glenbrook Tunnel is a heritage-listed single-track former railway tunnel that has also seen use as a mustard gas storage facility and as a mushroom farm. It is located on the former Main Western Line (since deviated) at Glenbrook, New South Wales, Australia. The Department of Railways designed and built the tunnel from 1891 to 1892. It is also known as the Lapstone Hill tunnel, the former Glenbrook Railway, and the World War II Mustard Gas Storage Tunnel.
