Bilum is a Tok Pisin word for the womb.

Tok Pisin is widely spoken in PNG but not so along the Hiritano Highway that connects Port Moresby to Kerema you will hear so many different local languages - Tok ples spoken 💚

🌸Meet Suki - our newest Ve’a maker.
Named after our Aunty Susie this is her first Ve’a made. Suki is the daughter of our cousin brother Wh**ey and still at school.

We look forward to Suki developing, exploring and learning from her mother Margaret Ono and her bubu - grandmother on her mother’s side.

This beautiful Ve’a will be up on the website soon to be updated with the new collection from our visit a couple of weeks ago -but get in touch if your interested we love direct human engagement 🌴

Named after our Aunty Susie this is her first Ve’a made. Suki is the daughter of our cousin brother Wh**ey and still at school.

💦 Our first big structural investment for Susa Haus a 10,000 Litre water tank has been picked up today and off down the Hiritano Highway to the village of Inauabui in Mekeo.

🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽Thank you to every one of you that has bought a Ve’a - Bilum or a kite - mat.

El Niño has hit our cousins village and they have run out of clean drinking water. Unfortunately, they are drink swamp water we pray for the rain to come to fill this beautiful vessel.

A very emotional day as our mother Mary always wanted to buy Aunty Susie a tank but she always refused her offer.

This tank is for Mum and Aunty 🌴💚

Our recent trip to PNG last week enabled us to purchase a 10,000 litre tank that will be installed at the end of the month.

💦Clean water, drinking water should be accessible for everyone. We are creating small stepping stones for better health and living conditions.

Our gorgeous family of women have been busy making Ve’a - bilums.

We have been able to purchase a water tank in that will be picked up on Tuesday from Port Moresby.
