The 2026 Great Hall Book Fair, proudly presented by the University of Sydney in partnership with Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland, will run from 12–16 September 2026.

This marks our third year collaborating with the University, united by a shared commitment to education, community connection, and mental health support.

If you love books and want to make a meaningful contribution, we’d love to have you on board. We’re currently recruiting volunteers to help bring this year’s Book Fair to life.

What does loneliness feel like?

Loneliness doesn’t always look like sadness, and it doesn’t only happen when you’re by yourself.
Sometimes it’s the quiet feeling of being disconnected, unseen, or not fully understood — even in a room full of people.

You can feel lonely at home, in a crowd, or mid‑conversation. It’s a human experience, and many of us move through it at different moments in our lives.

But loneliness can shift. Connection can grow. Small steps — reaching out, talking to someone you trust, or exploring what support looks like for you — can help you feel more grounded and less alone.

Our Support Toolkit can help you understand loneliness, how it affects your wellbeing, and the practical ways to rebuild connection. Link in bio.

And if you need someone to talk to, we’re always here.

Our Lifeline Book Fair is back from 12–16 September, and we’re building a wonderful team of volunteers to help bring it to life at The Great Hall, University of Sydney.

Most shifts are based right there — welcoming visitors, topping up tables, and keeping the space running smoothly as we raise vital funds for crisis support services.

As The Push‑Up Challenge 2026 wraps up, we’re celebrating BIG.
Our incredible community smashed out 119,350 push‑ups and raised some money— funding that keeps our crisis‑support services going strong into 2026.

Every dollar helps us be there for someone in crisis every second, and fuels the training and resources our volunteers rely on to help people.

A massive thank‑you to all the teams who kept pushing every day and supported us — your commitment made this impact possible.

A huge shout‑out to Matty and the entire team at Sutherland Shire Leisure Centre for throwing their strength behind The Push‑Up Challenge. Hundreds of push‑ups smashed, plenty of sore muscles, and an even bigger effort in raising awareness for mental health through Lifeline Sutherland. 💙

There’s still time to get involved, donate, or cheer the team on as we push through the last days of the challenge.

Thanks again to Matty and the SSLC community for leading from the front. Keep it up, legends.
