Andhra Pradesh Panchayati Raj Department has been conferred with the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas National Awards for the second consecutive year, an achievement that brings immense pride.

It is especially gratifying that Bokkasam Palem Gram Panchayat, Srikalahasti Mandal, Tirupati district, has secured 1st place nationally in the Women-Friendly Panchayat category. In Good Governance, Srungavaram Gram Panchayat, Visakhapatnam district, stood 1st at the national level. Chemmullapalli Gram Panchayat, YSR Kadapa district, secured 2nd place nationally for Poverty free & Enhanced Livelihoods. Gundamala Gram Panchayat, Prakasam district, achieved 3rd place nationally for Self-Sufficient Infrastructure.

Further, Kuppam Mandal, in the constituency represented by Hon’ble CM Shri garu, has been recognized as the 3rd Best Mandal in the country. It is worth recalling that last year too, the department was conferred with 4 national awards across categories.
