Fair Treatment is an initiative of the Uniting Church NSW.ACT and Uniting to modernise our drug laws and improve access to treatment and support for drug use and dependency We all want to live in a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, including people who use drugs, where we have drug laws informed by best practice and evidence and where treatment is available for all those wh

o seek it. The Fair Treatment campaign consists of over 70 partner organisations calling for health and wellbeing based responses and improved support and services for alcohol and other drug treatment and support.

Opioids are the leading cause of unintentional overdose deaths. This is a national health crisis, and we finally have a solution. πŸ₯

For the first time in Australia, Uniting, St Vincent’s, and UNSW have completed a treatment program delivering β€œimpossible” results for people with severe dependence. It is effective, it is feasible, and it is saving lives.
