According to the ABS population clock, Australia hit 28 million at 6am this morning (June 2). That's based on the current growth rate, which estimates that we add a new person to the country every 75 seconds.

Now that there are 28 million people in Australia, there are technically 28 people exactly like you – but you're still our favourite 🤗

If you’ve done the free bowel screening test, your story could help someone else take that first step - and even save their life.

We’re looking to hear about your experience with bowel screening.

Currently, only 41.7% of Australians do the bowel Screening test. However, if we can increase and sustain participation at 60%, we could save 84,000 lives by 2040.

Share your bowel screening story (by clicking the link below) to help other people take the test, and feel free to share this link with your friends too.

All young people from 2 to 17 years of age in NSW are now eligible for the free nasal spray flu vaccine.

Expanding eligibility aims to boost statewide vaccination rates and make it easier for families - especially those with children who dislike needles.

The nasal spray flu vaccine is gentle, painless and available for free for a limited time at GPs, Aboriginal Medical Services and pharmacies.

Influenza (flu) is serious but isn’t as scary if you’re vaccinated. A flu vaccine offers you and your child the best protection from serious illness.
