Surry Hills Business Precinct The Surry Hills Business Precinct is the local business chamber for Surry Hills NSW Australia.

The Surry Hills Business Partnership is a non-profit organisation established to promote Surry Hills as a creative cluster, cultural hub and the best place to do business for creative, professional and all businesses in Sydney. We are a rich collective comprised of like-minded local businesses committed to seeing Surry Hills and its businesses flourish; to promote and advocate for the area and its

needs. We seek to highlight and encourage the area's vitality; support new partnerships; to bring new projects to fruition: to have Surry Hills as a recognised international destination for outstanding design, experience and business operations. The Surry Hills Business Partnership (SHBP) is also the first Chamber of Commerce of Surry Hills, we are now able to offer not for profit status to all projects under our banner resulting in access to a world of new collaborations and funding sources. SHBP has a number of high level projects underway to bring real knowledge and understanding to how we can support the area's businesses. One of our projects is about developing strategy to provide businesses with marketing support and develop networks and opportunities for collaborations. Research will enable the precinct to determine what needs businesses require to enable them to grow into the future. SHBP believes that the creative industries are the lifeblood of Surry Hills and it is through nurturing and promoting these industries that a vibrant and creative village precinct will continue to thrive and make the city a more appealing place to live, work and visit. All business owners, managers, freelancers, professionals, start-ups and individuals are welcome to get involved with the Surry Hills Business Partnership (SHBP), alongside the SHBP board members, to support and promote creativity in Surry Hills.

SHBP Member Spotlight: KCL Business Services 🔦

Meet Cleo Litsas, Director of KCL Business Services Pty Ltd, a Surry Hills business helping small and medium-sized businesses bridge the gap between compliance and strategic advisory.

Since 2002, KCL has supported business owners with accounting, bookkeeping, cash flow clarity, financial structure and practical advice to help them make more informed decisions.

Cleo is also part of the Surry Hills Business Precinct committee and serves as Treasurer, playing an important role in supporting the local business community from behind the scenes.

When asked what she loves about Surry Hills, Cleo pointed to the area’s unique energy, diversity, and creativity, plus the genuine passion of local business owners.

Her favourite local spot? Shuk Bakery, for a quick lunch, great coffee and the unbeatable people-watching that makes Surry Hills feel like Surry Hills.

What an absolutely heartfelt evening of connections at our latest SurryHillsBusinessPrecinct ‘Gather’ for good, networking event. A very special thanks to all that attended on the night. Thank you to our speakers, Rob & Andy, Wesley Edward Eager Centre Wesley Mission , Sarah, St Peter's Surry Hills Catholic Church , Naomi MANKiND SYDNEY | MEN’S RETREAT , Brendan Flourish Australia [Official]] in getting the conversation started.

Our next Gather networking event will be held on the 11th November at ACME Framing , as we launch into the festive season, more details to come. 🌠SHBP Member Spotlight: Stefan Lamour-Jansson, Executive Officer, The Girls & Boys Brigade

For more than 140 years, The Girls & Boys Brigade has been part of the Surry Hills story.

Founded in 1882, this much-loved local organisation continues to support children, young people and families across Inner Sydney through after-school care, school holiday programs, family support services, food relief and wrap-around support for families who need it most.

When asked what they love most about Surry Hills, their answer was simple:

“Community, diversity and belonging.”

They also gave a special shout-out to some of the local businesses who have supported them over the years, including ESCA Group, SJB, Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic and All About Salon.

As we head into a new financial year, it’s a good time for local businesses to get connected, be visible, and be part of the precinct shaping what comes next for Surry Hills.
