If you have any information please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

- Original Post Below -

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 67-year-old woman missing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches since yesterday.

Janette Griffin, aged 67, was last seen about 3pm Saturday 15 December 2018, after she left her home on Winslea Avenue, Frenchs Forest, heading towards Iris Street.

Ms Griffin suffers from memory loss, and can have trouble communicating, police have been told she is known to walk around the Frenchs Forest area, sometimes into bushland.

Police and her family hold serious concerns for her welfare given the extreme weather in Sydney since she left.

Ms Griffin is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a medium build, and short light brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a button-up shirt, dark long pants, blue and pink runners, and gold rings on her fingers.

Residents in the Frenchs Forest area are asked to check their garages, verandas, and backyards for Ms Griffin as it’s believed she left for a walk before yesterday’s storm, and may have sought shelter.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000

CLOSED FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.
To all our loyal stall holders.
It is regretful that I contact you with this notification.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have made the decision to close Warringah Markets for the foreseeable future.

There are many factors which have contributed to this decision, primarily the health and welfare of our volunteers.

In the future, we anticipate a Fete/Market Day or similar event which would also welcome stall holders to display their wares.

Please note that monies will be refunded over the next 5 days.

I look forward to contacting you in the future with regards to fete day opportunities.
