Inner West Theatre Company would like to extend our congratulations to the well-deserved recipients of our two company awards for the Jagged Little Pill season: The Rising Star and The Award.

While every person involved in an IWTC production gives so much of themselves throughout the rehearsal and performance process, these awards recognise individuals whose contribution, growth, commitment and company spirit have gone above and beyond throughout the season.

Congratulations to Joshua Wilson, recipient of The Rising Star, recognised for his incredible growth throughout the Jagged Little Pill season and his ongoing commitment to the company both onstage and behind the scenes over recent productions.

Congratulations to Aleisha Langburne, recipient of The Award, recognised for her unwavering preparation, consistency and leadership throughout the season. Her dedication and reliability made her a true rock for those around her both in rehearsals and onstage.

Thank you both for everything you brought to Jagged Little Pill and to the Inner West Theatre Company community.

We're heading to the 1960s. A world of fast talk, forged cheques and frankly unbelievable audacity.
Based on the incredible true story of Frank Abagnale Jr. and nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Musical, Catch Me If You Can is a high-energy, big-band musical packed with sharp storytelling, slick choreography and a score that will have you on your feet. Created by the Tony Award-winning team behind Hairspray and Ragtime, this one is as good as it gets.

We are casting a dynamic ensemble of singers, dancers and actors across all genders, identities, backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you are a seasoned performer or stepping into an audition room for the very first time, there is a place for you in this production.
🎟 Audition Dates: Wed 10 June, Mon 15 June + Wednesday 17 June
📍 Michael Maher Room, Haberfield Library, 78 Dalhousie Street, Haberfield
⭐New to auditions? On Monday 15 June we are offering a group audition option. The Musical Director will teach everyone a short song on the night. No prep needed.

A huge congratulations to Kane Wheatley (Vice-President and Life Member), nominee for Inner West Citizen of the Year 2026 for his work in accessibility and Auslan-interpreted theatre, and James Worner (Committee Member and Life Member), recipient of the 2026 Amy Large Senior Volunteer of the Year Award for his incredible contribution to costumes and behind-the-scenes support at Inner West Theatre Company.
Recognised at tonight's Inner West Council Community Awards, both Kane and James represent the very best of community theatre: generosity, creativity, passion and a deep commitment to building a welcoming and inclusive arts community.
From championing Auslan-interpreted performances and improving accessibility for Deaf and hard of hearing audiences, to the countless hours spent creating costumes, supporting productions and helping bring our shows to life, their contribution to IWTC and the wider Inner West community has been extraordinary.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations, Kane and James!
