Safety, stability, dignity and connection matter at every age.
Today at NSW Parliament, Lou’s Place shared frontline insights into the growing challenges facing older women experiencing hardship, housing insecurity and social isolation.
Our CEO, Amanda Greaney, spoke with MPs about the realities many women face every day, including homelessness, domestic and family violence, financial hardship, poor health and trauma.
The launch of our Older Women Matter booklet highlighted why community, connection and practical support are so important in helping women rebuild their lives.
Over the past year, Lou’s Place supported 1,392 women, including 224 women aged 55 and over. Thank you to the Parliamentary Friends of Empowering Older Women and everyone who joined us to help shine a light on experiences that are too often unseen.
