Congratulations to one of our previous students from BBAS for being awarded a WWF scholarship. So well deserved and in the hands of the perfect recipient who has both her heart and her head focused on making our world a better place 💕🙏🏻

We are excited to announce the recipients of the WWF Nepal Memorial Scholarship 2024–2025!

We hope this scholarship will empower the next generation of conservationists to honor and carry forward the remarkable legacy of our conservation heroes.

Prevention is always better than cure.

A part of our commitment to women’s health is to educate the next generation to provide them with a new perspective and information with the objective of helping them make more informed choices in the future.

One of our COSAN team who sees thousands of women for screening every year, visited local schools during the week in order to provide education about the prevention of cervical cancer, STD’s and uterine prolapse.

It’s not always comfortable, but it’s always important to have these open conversations.

Although our primary focus this trip is our women’s health camp, spending quality time in the school is a part of our journey here.

The immense joy that comes from exchanging an appreciation and understanding of the world of other cultures brings expands us beyond words.

We have arrived in Bardia and training has begun for our women’s health camp.

If you are in Thakurdwara please share with any women in your lives.

This is a free cervical screening and uterine prolapse clinic.

ALL women can be screened at no cost this coming weekend.

Just wonderful to have volunteers come and support experiences for the students to raise their curiosity, open their minds beyond the structure od standard curriculum.
If you have skills that would enhance the learning experience for these kids come join us volunteering in Nepal and leave a legacy in the world 🦋🦋

Access to education is something most of us take for granted, but for many of these children growing up in a remote rural village in Western Nepal, that is far from their reality. Only a quarter of Nepalese children finish high school and many thousands each year are trafficked to India.

Imagine being brought up in an area where you are at risk of literally being sold?

Human trafficking of Nepalese girls has increased five fold since 2013. Could you even begin to imagine that today, in 2018?

A fundamental strategy to prevent child trafficking is to keep children in schools, protecting their right to education and providing them a safe environment.

15 and 16 year old children are in a very vulnerable age group. Many children, in this age group in the remote region of western Nepal come from landless families who simply cannot afford to pay for schooling.

Providing a quality education in Bardia is a fundamental foundation to improving the lives of this and future generations in a sustainable manner.

We've made a commitment to the hundreds of children at BBAS Memorial school in Thakurdwara Nepal that we will help their community continue to expand their school to guarantee their education for the future. With your help we will deliver the facilities to educate all the way to the end of year 12, and provide access to education to all landless children in the area.
