This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, ‘All In’, calls on all Australians to commit to reconciliation every day, recognising that meaningful change requires collective action.

Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.

National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June, marking two significant milestones: the successful 1967 Referendum and the High Court’s Mabo decision.

Today is National Sorry Day, a day to remember and acknowledge the Stolen Generations.

These were Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families, community and culture.

National Sorry Day matters, but sorry without action is not enough.

We must move beyond words and into action. That action must happen now, not another decade from now.

“What they offer at Tranby is that safe, that spirit safe, you know, to learn, enjoy learning and the resources and the support.”

These words come from Jean Moran, a proud Yuin, Kammraygal, Worimi, Biripi woman born and raised on Gadigal Country, on the Block in Redfern. Jean is a 11026NAT Diploma of Applied Aboriginal Studies student, having first studied at Tranby in 1988. 🌿✨

We're excited to share that Yanalangami is entering its next phase of our journey 🌿

With the generous support of the Judith Neilson Foundation, we’re proud to begin our next phase of collective reflection, renewal and growth: Deep Listening, Deep Thinking, Deep Learning.

Over the next year, the Foundation will walk alongside Tranby as we begin a national, First Nations women-led listening process to shape the future of Yanalangami and strengthen community-led leadership for years to come.

Together, with our deadly Changemakers input, we will continue to grow Yanalangami in ways that are community-led, culturally grounded, and built for lasting and meaningful impact.

We look forward to walking this journey with you.
