On Tuesday 30th June, we proudly celebrated the graduation of our 2025/26 students! 🎓

Congratulations to all students who received a Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Advocacy (ATSILA) or the Diploma of Applied Aboriginal Studies (DAAS).

We also celebrated the recipients of the Kevin Cook Award for Academic Excellence and the Uncle Dion Award for Encouragement. The Kevin Cook Award was presented to Shiralee Martins from ASTILA and Amanda Eatock from DAAS. The Uncle Dion Award was awarded to Sara Baker and Tiarna Wynne from ASTILA and Deb Morrow from DAAS.

Thank you to our deadly trainers and assessors Michael Weir (DAAS) and Judy Curtain (ATSILA)!

We look forward to welcoming our 2026 students!

Last week, Tranby leaders, including CEO Dr Belinda Russon and Co-Chairs Kristy Masella and Mick Gooda, travelled to Rubibi (Broome) to gather with the deadly mob at Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Service (KAMS) for the first ICOVE Governing Council meeting 🌟

Together, we are walking forward with shared purpose, co-creating the Indigenous Centre of Vocational Excellence (ICOVE): a national, evidence-informed VET hub grounded in culture and opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners.

Collaboration is where our power grows.

What a privilege it is to walk this journey together. 🤝🏾

Welcome to the official home of Tranby's Oral History Program❤️💛🖤

Since 2024, Tranby's Oral History Team has been working alongside Elders and cultural knowledge holders to record and preserve stories.

This work is time-critical. Every day, we risk losing invaluable knowledge and lived experiences. Recording and safeguarding these histories now helps ensure they are preserved for future generations.

Thanks to funding from The Healing Foundation's Stolen Generations Grants, our team will soon travel around Australia to record the stories of Stolen Generations survivors, descendants and communities.

Follow along as we share stories from the road, behind-the-scenes moments, and the importance of preserving these histories for future generations!
