Want to be more involved in the behind the scenes of THE Biology Society? 🤩

Need a mental reset? 🧠 Or perhaps a reconnection with nature? Come embark on the BioSoc Bushwalk! 🌳🌲

If you’re already feeling burnt out 🔥 and exhausted from mid semester quizzes, exams and assignments, BioSoc offers the perfect opportunity for you to take a breath, and go on the most rejuvenating walk you’ve had in YEARS! 🗓️

We’ll trek on an adventure from Otford station to the iconic Figure 8 Pools, with a variety of beautiful scenery along the way. From well travelled bushwalkers to beginners, anyone is welcome to join BioSoc on our exciting journey to the Figure 8 Pools! 🏞️

Heads up! This track contains a large number of stairs ⚠️

WHEN❓Monday 29th September 8am-6pm
WHERE📍Otford Train Station to Figure 8 Pools
MEET AT 👥 Redfern Station 8am OR Otford Station 9:15am!

WHAT TO BRING: hat, water bottle, comfy clothes, walking shoes, lunch + snacks and any medications (including asthma puffers and epipens)!

Wish you were more like Ants Canada? Feeling like Sandy Cheeks in your assessment-induced stress bubble? Join us at Biology Society in our terrarium making workshop at Cadigal Green* from 4-6pm next Friday 19 September.

Over the course of an hour and half, you’ll be constructing your own well-draining terrarium base, lowering in your baby succulents, and making your own waterproof signage to personalise your new desk study buddy. We’ll provide everything, just bring your passion for plants and (if possible) your own terrarium addition you don’t mind getting a lil’ mossy – a quaint fairy house, meditative Smiski, eons-old Happy Meal toy or lost space marine.

*Wet weather arrangements are at Susan Wakil 416, we will keep you updated via story if this occurs.
