Australia Day and Indian Republic Day falling on the same date is a powerful reminder of the enduring bond between Australia and India.
Two nations connected by shared democratic values, strong institutions, people-to-people ties, and a passion for cricket that brings communities together. 🏏

Australia stands for fairness, opportunity, and multicultural unity. India stands for resilience, diversity, and the strength of the world’s largest democracy. Together, these values form the foundation of a trusted and growing partnership.

On this special day, Team AISECS proudly celebrates both nations — honouring the relationship, the cultural connections, and the shared future we continue to build together.

One day. Two nations. Shared values. A stronger partnership. 🇦🇺🇮🇳
Happy Australia Day and Happy Indian Republic Day.

🌏 Let’s Talk About Media, Trust & Our Community 🌏 Media Literacy Community Consultations – Register Your Interest Now

At a time when misinformation, scams, fake news and AI-generated content are spreading faster than ever, media literacy is no longer optional — it’s essential.

Indians in Sydney is proud to support the Media Literacy Community Consultations, a national initiative designed to listen to our communities, understand concerns, and build practical solutions together.

From years of working with multicultural communities, one thing is clear:
When we sit together, speak openly, and learn together — we grow stronger.

These sessions are about your voice. We want to understand:
✅ How you access news and information
✅ Which platforms and sources you trust
✅ The languages you use at home
✅ Concerns about misinformation, rumours, scams and deepfakes
✅ How better support can be designed for our communities

We especially encourage participation from people whose first language is not English. Language support will be available in:
🟦 Hindi | 🟦 Punjabi | 🟦 Urdu | 🟦 Arabic
🟦 Nepali | 🟦 Mandarin | 🟦 Tamil
🟦 Bengali | 🟦 Filipino/Tagalog
…and more, depending on community needs.

Session Details:

On behalf of , on the final evening of Chanukah, the Sydney Opera House and monuments across Australia were illuminated in remembrance of the lives lost at Bondi — a powerful reminder that light will always triumph over darkness.

This moment sent a clear message: we stand with Australia’s Jewish community, we honour their courage, and we reaffirm our commitment to solidarity, compassion, and love.

AISECS stands with you. We stand together as Australians. And we will never forget December 14, 2025.

Pitch Perfect launch tonight at the Indian Consulate General in Sydney a milestone moment.
Congratulations to and Natasha on this important launch, and sincere appreciation to Consul General of India Dr. Janki Raman for the visionary leadership driving these conversations forward. This study delivers critical insights, and the parallel discussions showcased the real value of collaboration.
Always great connecting with leaders shaping the agenda Australia and India together are emerging as a true powerhouse across business, trade, investment, technology, sports, and the mining sector.
A strong showcase of Australian success stories in India, with companies openly sharing both their wins and their lessons in navigating such a dynamic market.
