🌏 Let’s Talk About Media, Trust & Our Community 🌏 Media Literacy Community Consultations – Register Your Interest Now
At a time when misinformation, scams, fake news and AI-generated content are spreading faster than ever, media literacy is no longer optional — it’s essential.
Indians in Sydney is proud to support the Media Literacy Community Consultations, a national initiative designed to listen to our communities, understand concerns, and build practical solutions together.
From years of working with multicultural communities, one thing is clear:
When we sit together, speak openly, and learn together — we grow stronger.
These sessions are about your voice. We want to understand:
✅ How you access news and information
✅ Which platforms and sources you trust
✅ The languages you use at home
✅ Concerns about misinformation, rumours, scams and deepfakes
✅ How better support can be designed for our communities
We especially encourage participation from people whose first language is not English. Language support will be available in:
🟦 Hindi | 🟦 Punjabi | 🟦 Urdu | 🟦 Arabic
🟦 Nepali | 🟦 Mandarin | 🟦 Tamil
🟦 Bengali | 🟦 Filipino/Tagalog
…and more, depending on community needs.
