Meet Fatima*. After experiencing domestic violence at the hands of her former partner, Fatima approached Marrickville Legal Centre for critical legal support.

With the assistance of the Domestic Violence Legal Service, Fatima’s Victims Services application was approved. She received a $10,000 recognition payment which allowed her and her child to rebuild their lives in a safe new home.

Sadly, Fatima isn’t alone. Demand for our Domestic Violence Legal Service has increased by 13% year on year, meaning even more survivors than ever are seeking legal help to navigate the complex justice system.
