🌟 A Beautiful Milestone at Grand Omar Mosque 🌟
Alhamdulillah, a truly proud and inspiring moment for our community.
We warmly congratulate our young brother Shehryar on the wonderful achievement of completing the Holy Qur’an at Grand Omar Mosque. May Allah ﷻ make the Qur’an the light of his heart, guide him throughout his life, and make him a source of pride and goodness for his family and the wider community. Ameen.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Sheikh Shafiq Abdullah Khan, whose vision, dedication and many years of service have played an important role in establishing mosques, colleges and schools where generations of young Muslims can learn, worship and grow in their faith. May Allah reward him abundantly for every child who learns the Qur’an and benefits from these institutions.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to the teachers, parents and everyone who supported Shehryar throughout this beautiful journey.
This achievement is also an important reminder to every parent: our children are an Amanah – a trust from Allah. Alongside their school education and future careers, we have a responsibility to nurture their connection with Allah, the Qur’an and good character.
We strongly encourage parents to enrol their children in Qur’an education and to make Islamic learning a regular and important part of family life. The time and effort we invest in our children today can, by the permission of Allah, shape the people they become tomorrow.
May we see many more of our young boys and girls following this beautiful path, completing the Qur’an and growing into confident, educated and compassionate Australian Muslims who contribute positively to their faith, families and wider community.

الحمد لله، لحظة فخر وإلهام حقيقية لمجتمعنا.
نهنئ بحرارة أخانا الصغير شهريار على الإنجاز الرائع بإتمام حفظ القرآن الكريم في مسجد عمر الكبير. نسأل الله أن يجعل القرآن نور قلبه، وهادياً له طوال حياته، وأن يجعله مصدر فخر وخير لأسرته والمجتمع الأوسع. آمين.
كما نقدم خالص تقديرنا للشيخ شفيق عبدالله خان، الذي لعبت رؤيته وتفانيه على مدى سنوات دوراً هاماً في تأسيس المساجد والكليات والمدارس التي يتعلم فيها أجيال من الشباب المسلم.
هذا الإنجاز تذكير مهم لكل والد: أبناؤنا أمانة. بجانب تعليمهم المدرسي، نحن مسؤولون أمام الله عن تنشئتهم على القرآن والقيم الحميدة.
نشجع الآباء على تسجيل أبنائهم في تعليم القرآن، وجعل التعلم الإسلامي جزءاً أساسياً من حياتهم الأسرية.
نسأل الله أن نرى المزيد من أبنائنا وبناتنا على هذا الدرب الجميل، يكملون حفظ القرآن وينشأون مسلمين أستراليين واثقين، متعلمين، ومساهمين في مجتمعهم.
ما شاء الله يا شهريار – مبارك لك ولعائلتك على هذا الإنجاز الرائع. نسأل الله أن تكون هذه بداية رحلة طويلة مع القرآن.
