Our thoughts and condolences go out to all impacted by yesterday’s senseless events. Foremost, families that have suffered tremendous loss and trauma, parents and children witnessing unimaginable scenes, communities reeling from a heart-breaking attack on its people.
We acknowledge those charged with attending an unfathomable situation - first responders, lifeguards, healthcare workers and members of the public risking their own safety to protect others. The bravery and selflessness is an important source of light in such darkness.
A fundamental belief in inclusion guides us and extends to all its forms. We stand with the Jewish community, within Heroes and more broadly, especially during what should have been a time of celebration.
It is heart-breaking. Effects of such evil will be long-lasting, some raw and immediate, others still forming and yet to surface. Now and into the future, we lean on each other to process, to grieve and to hold each other up.
This does require a safe and supportive environment, something we hope Heroes House represents. Our doors are open whether you are in for lessons, or just needing a space to sit and breathe.
