Turns out if nobody’s getting married, you can just throw the wedding anyway

USYDPAKSOC presents: Mock Shaadi 💌✨

One night. One big fat celebration.

We’re throwing the wedding of the year, minus the rishta aunties and the awkward small talk with distant relatives 😬 Just the entrances, the rasmein, the dance floor, and enough khana to feed an actual baraat 🍽️

📅 Friday, 16th October 2026
🕓 4 - 9 PM
📍 Sydney Park Pavilion, Alexandria

Desi or not, you’re invited. Dust off your best desi fits, come hungry, and get ready for a night that feels like home, whether you grew up going to a hundred shaadis or you’ve never been to one.

Wanna be part of the dances? EOI forms are linked in bio 💃🕺

Tickets aren’t out yet but keep an eye out so you don’t miss them!!
