For people living with MS, consistent, specialised support matters.

In this clip, Mark talks about the role NeuroMoves plays in helping him stay active, and the importance of NDIS funding in making that access possible.

This is just one part of his experience.

World MS Day is held each year on May 30th to raise awareness and share the lived experience of those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

To recognise this important day, we recently caught up with NeuroMoves client Mark Elisha and his support worker Marvin. Diagnosed at just 24 years old, Mark candidly shares his journey with MS from his initial diagnosis, through to finding his community through Boccia.

Reflecting on his last 13-years living with MS, Mark credits the NDIS and his support workers on the positive impact they have had in helping him along the way.

Team members from across Western NSW spent the day at Breakthru Dubbo for National Reconciliation Week, taking time to pause and connect.

They began in a circle with an Acknowledgement of Country, which set the tone for the day and created space to slow down, reflect, and be present. From there, the day unfolded naturally as conversations opened up and stories were shared.

Artwork and handprints brought everyone together in a really simple way, with each person adding their own touch and leaving something of themselves behind. A sincere thank you to Uncle Ralph Naden and our community partners for generously sharing their knowledge and guiding the day. We’re grateful to have been part of it.

Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week, and across Royal Rehab Group we’ll be taking some time to pause, reflect, and learn.

This year’s theme, “All In”, is an important reminder that reconciliation isn't something that happens overnight. It’s about showing up, listening, and thinking about the part we each play moving forward.

Throughout the week, our teams across the Group will be coming together in different ways to recognise and learn more about the histories, cultures, and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

And, more importantly, to keep listening and learning beyond this week too.

What questions would our Peer and Family Support team have trouble answering?

For Heidz, Dan and Rob, it’s less about the questions and more about the appropriate time and place.
