Jewish Arts is very proud to partner with the Sydney Jewish Writers Festival in their first ever event to be presented on the North Shore. “One of a Kind” is an original musical set in Egypt and Australia and co-written by Judy Campbell and Aaron Robuck.

Alexandria, 1957. A wealthy Egyptian Jewish family is forced to leave behind the life it built over generations and begin again in Sydney. Moving between Egypt and Australia, the story follows Victor Rossano, whose rage and dislocation shadow his family’s fragile new beginning in a new country. Middle Eastern musical traditions and orchestration shape this rarely told story of Jewish expulsion, migration and the difficult realities of starting over.

We warmly invite you to this event on Sunday 2 August either at the 3pm or 7pm performance. Tickets available from https://www.shalomcollective.com.au/whats-on/one-of-a-kind
