The joy every mama should be able to feel after giving birth. Her story could have been different, but because she could access free maternal healthcare, this mama can relax and enjoy the moment, practising ‘Kangaroo Care Method’ – and loving those newborn snuggles.

You don’t always get to see these daily moments, but they’re possible because you continue to support us.

Thank you 💙

Infrastructure can feel like slow work, but its impact will be generational.

This will one day be a space where women can come to feel safe, cared for and maybe even a bit excited! A space where instead of fearing what will happen when she goes into labour, now she gets to be excited about the little baby growing inside her. That feeling of going into pregnancy with dignity and confidence 💙

Thank you for helping build something that will outlive all of us.

Exciting news! Two new generators have been purchased and delivered to the hospital in Central African Republic, where Dr Andrew, with a dedicated team of nurses and doctors, treat women for fistula surgeries a few times a year.

Wille (pictured) had to purchase the generators in neighbouring country Cameroon, as none were available locally. Together these will power the whole hospital and ensure a backup if one needs maintenance.

These new generators will be a huge blessing for the hospital staff and patients in Galo.

Thank you to everyone who gave to our Christmas Appeal last year to make this possible!

One of the challenges caring for women from remote villages is the language barrier.

Here Sister Rose works through a series of translators to ask a patient to walk.

It takes dedication, patience and compassion. Seeing the dignity in each and every patient.

This is the type of care that’s important to us and our partners 💙
