As we closed out this year with a truly magical concert, celebrating the talent, dedication, and incredible progress of our dancers, we also shared one of the most emotional moments in our history - Pani Wiesia’s final show.

Pani Wiesia has been part of our family since 1986. For many of us, she has been there since we were children; guiding us, shaping us, and helping raise generations through dance. She taught us far more than steps and choreography; she taught us discipline, respect, courage, and the power of passion.

Through her unwavering dedication to her craft, she showed us what is possible when you devote your heart and soul to an art form. Her knowledge, strength, and belief in us pushed us to grow; not only as dancers, but as people.

Pani Wiesia leaves behind a priceless legacy. The spectacular dances she created will continue to be performed and cherished for many years to come, carrying her spirit onto every stage. Her presence filled every room with power and purpose, and her passion inspired confidence in all of us.

We will miss her dearly at every practice; her voice, her guidance, her energy; but her influence will live on in each dancer she taught and every performance still to come. Thank you, Pani Wiesia, for the countless years, the lessons, the memories, and the love you have given us. You will forever be part of our hearts and our dances ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

So excited to perform at this years’ Polish Festival at Federation Square in Melbourne!

At this year’s Polish festival, we’re super excited to announce that we’ll have 8 folkloric dance groups performing, 5 of which are coming from interstate! 💃🕺

We’d love to introduce you to the first of our interstate - Kujawy Polish Dance and Song Ensemble (Sydney). Kujawy Sydney was founded in 1976 and has a large and varied repertoire of unique dances from many regions of Poland; some of these include Suita Slaska, Goralski, Krakowiak, Sieradz, Pollka and Solubny Kujawiak along with modern dances to Polish music e.g. My Slowianie and Mama Ostrzegala.

The ensemble has developed this highly varied and acclaimed repertoire, thanks to the artistic direction of teachers and choreographers Marek and Wieslawa Wojnicz (former members of the Polish State Ensemble “Slask”). Currently there are 55 members in the ensemble ranging from 4 years of age onwards. Many of the youth that belong to the ensemble are of 3rd generation.

Kujawy Sydney has attended all PolArt Festivals since inception and have performed in Spain, New Zealand, twice in the Rzeszow Festival in Poland and in many Polish and multi-cultural functions and festivals in Australia.

Don’t miss their performance at The Edge and on the Main Stage! 🤍❤
