Every box tells a story.

These parcels heading out today were made possible through purchases from our Techie eBay for Charity store.

Not every donated device is the right fit for direct redistribution, but that doesn’t mean it goes to waste. Through the Techie eBay for Charity store, those devices are given a second life, and every dollar raised goes straight back into our work.

Funding things like:
• replacement parts and repairs
• tools and equipment
• secure data wiping
• and shipping devices to people across Australia

It’s a simple cycle, but a powerful one.

Donate → refurbish → redistribute → reinvest

That’s how we keep going.

Thank you to everyone who supports us, whether you donate, purchase, or share what we do. It all plays a part.

A little snapshot from the last few days at Techie Australia 💻

Over the long weekend, our volunteers were busy refurbishing donated devices and getting them ready to go back out into the community.

Today, 5 laptops were sent to recipients through organisations across Australia.

For the people receiving them, these aren’t just laptops. They’re tools to learn, work, and stay connected.

This is the kind of impact happening every week behind the scenes 🧡

Earth Hour’s on this Saturday. Nice reminder that this stuff isn’t just talk.

At Techie, we take donated tech, fix it up, and get it into the hands of people who actually need it instead of letting it end up in landfill.

So far this financial year, that’s over 1.5 tonnes of e-waste we’ve kept out of the bin.

It’s not complicated. Use what already exists; don’t waste it.

Got old laptops or computers sitting in a cupboard at work? 👀

Techie Australia can take them off your hands and put them in the hands of someone who really needs them.

We work with businesses across Sydney to collect end-of-life devices, wipe them properly, refurbish them at our Emu Plains workshop, and redistribute them to people doing it tough.

It's free, it's easy, and your team gets to feel genuinely good about it.

We're looking for more corporate partners right now. Tag someone at a company that might be keen, or send us a message we'd love to chat! 🧡

We often get asked how people can help Techie Australia.

Donating devices is amazing, but the biggest need we have is actually funding.

Every device we receive needs:
🔧 Parts and repairs
🔋 Batteries and chargers
🔐 Secure data wiping
🚚 Delivery across Australia

That’s where donations make the biggest difference.

A $50 donation can help refurbish a laptop and get it into the hands of someone who needs it.

You can donate easily through our website using our secure payment gateway.

And importantly, all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible, with a receipt automatically sent to you.

We’re fully registered and transparent, so you know your support is making a real impact.

Over 1.5 tonnes of e-waste saved from landfill this financial year… and we’re just getting started.

At Techie Australia, every device we recover has two outcomes:
♻️ Less waste in the ground
💻 More access for someone who needs it

We’re proud to be tackling sustainability while also helping bridge the digital divide for individuals, families and communities across Australia.

If you have unused tech sitting around, it could change someone’s life.

A huge thank you to STM Goods for their generosity.

We recently received a request from an organisation supporting someone with vision impairment whose iPad had broken. With accessibility features enabled, that iPad was their main way of communicating with the outside world.

We were able to source a refurbished iPad through Techie and reached out to STM Goods to see if they could help with a durable case to protect it.

They immediately offered to send a brand new Dux Grip iPad case free of charge and had it on the way the same day.

STM Goods have also previously provided quality laptop bags for devices going out to Techie recipients, helping ensure people receive technology that is protected and ready for everyday use.

Support like this helps us keep people connected.

Thank you STM Goods for helping make digital inclusion possible. ✨

Today is International Women’s Day.

This year’s theme is Balance the Scales, and it’s a reminder that equal opportunity doesn’t happen by accident.

At Techie Australia, two of our three directors are women. We understand how important access to technology can be for women navigating difficult circumstances.

For survivors of domestic violence, refugees starting new lives, and women experiencing financial hardship, a phone or laptop can mean access to support services, education, employment and connection.

That’s why we work with community organisations across Australia to help ensure technology reaches those who need it most.

Because sometimes something as simple as a device can help tip the scales.

Good tech. Great cause.

The Techie Store is the official eBay for Charity outlet of Techie Australia.

Through our Tech Recovery Program, we receive donated devices from individuals, businesses and organisations across Australia. Every device is securely wiped, thoroughly tested and professionally refurbished by our team.

Devices that best match recipient needs are provided free to students, families and communities experiencing digital exclusion. The remaining quality devices are made available through the Techie Store at affordable prices.

Every single dollar raised goes straight back into our program, funding repairs, tools, parts and delivery costs so we can continue providing free technology to those who need it most.

When you shop with Techie, you’re not just buying refurbished tech.
You’re backing a transparent, sustainable model that turns unwanted devices into opportunity.

Shop with purpose.

That old phone in your drawer could change someone’s life.

For many Australians, a smartphone is not a luxury. It is how they access healthcare, apply for jobs, contact emergency services, and stay connected.

Through our Call it Forward program, you can donate any smartphone, any brand, any condition.

We will:
• Securely wipe all data
• Refurbish the device
• Match it with someone in need

People fleeing domestic violence.
People experiencing homelessness.
Young people leaving care.
Refugees and seniors living alone.

One phone can mean safety, connection and opportunity.
