Sydney Samba are a bunch of friendly folk who learn and play the vibrant, explosive & energetic rhythms for which Rio Carnival is famous. Our focus is on Brazilian community & neighbourhood percussion, with a particular emphasis on Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo Carnival rhythms. We also dabble in other Brazilian regional styles such as samba-reggae, maculele, Afro, Afoxe and funk, and the occasiona

l western rhythm! If you have a basic sense of rhythm, and a desire to learn and have some fun, then why not join us! We rehearse in Parramatta on Tuesdays, and Abbotsford on Sundays.
