Today we celebrate the feast of Blessed Estephan Nehme, a humble Lebanese Maronite monk who dedicated his life to prayer, work and service.

Living quietly in the monasteries of the Lebanese Maronite Order, he showed that holiness is found not only in extraordinary acts, but in faithfully serving God in the ordinary moments of life.

May his example inspire us to live with humility, simplicity and a constant awareness of God’s presence.

Blessed Estephan Nehme, pray for us 🤍

Today we commemorate the Martyrdom of Saint John the Baptist, the fearless voice who chose truth over comfort and faithfulness to God over his own life.

Saint John boldly condemned what was sinful, even when speaking the truth placed him before the powerful King Herod. Imprisonment could not silence him, and the threat of death could not make him compromise. His martyrdom reminds us that holiness requires courage — the courage to stand for what is right even when the world would rather we remain silent.

From the wilderness until his final breath, John’s entire life pointed away from himself and toward Christ: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30)

Through the intercession of Saint John the Baptist, may we have the courage to defend the truth, remain faithful when it costs us, and always lead others closer to Christ.

Saint John the Baptist, pray for us 🤍

“Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.” - St Augustine of Hippo

Today, on the Feast of St. Augustine, we remember a man whose life was a journey from restlessness to surrender, from searching for truth to encountering Christ.

Born in North Africa in 354, Augustine spent much of his early life seeking fulfillment in knowledge, success, pleasure, and the things of the world. Yet nothing could satisfy the longing within his heart. Through the prayers of his mother, St. Monica, the guidance of St. Ambrose, and the grace of God, Augustine eventually experienced a profound conversion and gave his life completely to Christ.

He became a priest and Bishop of Hippo, dedicating himself to preaching, teaching, defending the faith, and serving God’s people. His writings, especially *Confessions* and *The City of God*, continue to shape Christian thought and speak to the deepest desires of the human heart.

St. Augustine reminds us that no matter how far we wander, God never stops seeking us. His story is a testament to the power of grace, the persistence of prayer, and the truth that our hearts will never find lasting rest in anything less than God Himself.

St. Augustine, pray for us, that we may seek God with sincere hearts and find our true rest in Him 🤍

Today, on the feast of Saint Monica, we remember a mother whose life was marked by faith, patience, and persistent prayer.

For years, Monica prayed for the conversion of her husband and, most especially, her son Augustine. Though the answers did not come quickly, she continued to pray and trust in God. Augustine eventually became Saint Augustine of Hippo, one of the Church’s greatest saints and teachers.

Saint Monica reminds us that no prayer is wasted and that God’s grace can be at work even when we cannot yet see it. May her example encourage every parent and every person praying for someone they love to never lose hope.

Saint Monica, pray for us 🤍
