Mates On A Mission

Mates On A Mission An honest, hard working group of mates, whose goal is to send children with life threatening illness away on memory making experiences with their families.

Mates On A Mission are just that, a group of mates whose goal is to raise money and give back to those in the community, less fortunate than themselves. To date, Mates On A Mission have raised in excess of $1,000,000. This money has gone toward funding for the Westmead Children’s Hospital, Fr Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets and more recently in building playgrounds and sensory gardens for Auti

stic and Special Needs children in numerous NSW schools. Mates On A Mission are also proud to have NRL footy Captain and NSW Blues State of Origin ho**er, Robbie Farah on their team. Robbie who is also co-founder of Mates On A Mission, takes pride in what the group have achieved today and sees the cause as a way to give back to the community. What's more, there are no administration costs with Mates On A Mission. All time is donated, meaning we can give as much as we can to those in need.

For most teenagers, a trip to the Gold Coast is all about fun.

For 16-year-old Bellah, it was so much more than that.

After months of facing Synovial Sarcoma and everything that comes with treatment, Bellah was finally able to swap hospital appointments for sunshine, fresh air and precious time with the people she loves most.

Together with her mum and dad and bestie Jess, she spent three unforgettable nights on the Gold Coast, making memories at the theme parks, relaxing by the pool, soaking up the ocean views and most importantly, simply being a family again.

These are the moments that matter.

The moments where illness isn’t the centre of every conversation. Where laughter replaces worry. Where families can breathe, reconnect and remember that they’re so much more than a diagnosis.

Thank you to every Mate who makes experiences like Bellah’s possible. Your generosity creates memories that will last a lifetime. 🧡

Meet beautiful Bellah.
 
This wonderful young lady celebrated her 16th birthday last week, but instead of simply enjoying life as a teenager, she is bravely facing synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer that most commonly affects adolescents and young adults.
 
Today, Bellah and her family are heading to the Gold Coast for a well deserved, and much needed, three night escape, staying in a beautiful ocean view apartment in Broadbeach.
 
For a few days, the focus won’t be on cancer. It will be on ocean views, rollercoasters, laughter with family and making memories with the people who matter most.
 
To make the experience even more special, Bellah’s best friend will join Bellah and her family for unforgettable days spent at Dreamworld and Movie World, because every 16 year old deserves memory making adventures with the people they love the most.
 
Bellah absolutely loves swimming, so we made sure her accommodation has an incredible heated pool where she can spend as much time in the water as possible during her stay.
 
We hope this getaway is filled with sunshine, laughter and moments that remind Bellah she’s so much more than her diagnosis. Have the most amazing time Bellah - we can’t wait to hear all about your adventure when you return 🧡
