Game Management Council of NSW

Game Management Council of NSW The Game Management Council of New South Wales is a peak body for Hunting Clubs. http://gameconnsw.org

Our organisation formed in 1985 as The Joint Committee of Recreational Hunting Associations. In 1991 we changed our name to Game Management Council of New South Wales ( GameCon ) Incorporated. GameCon is a true hunting club peak body run by member club delegates and is recognised as a peak body by the NSW Fi****ms Registry. Our primary objective is to support shooting sport and other traditional o

utdoor activities; consequently, we advocate on the behalf of 4WD and dog owners, pig dog hunters, fishers, and bow hunters. We meet bi-monthly in Sydney and welcome interested parties to request an invitation to attend a regular meeting.

We just need 5,000 more signatures.

If you live in NSW and believe your right to defend your home deserves stronger legal protection, now’s the time to act.

We need 20,000 signatures by October 30 to trigger a debate in Parliament - we’re already at 15,000 and counting.

Every signature and share helps get this issue heard where it matters most.

Please sign this petition in support of Castle Law in NSW sponsored by John Ruddick MLC (Libertarian) and Clr Kelly James of Moree (Independent). The petition closes on Thursday, 30th October 2025 and requires 20,000 signatures to trigger a debate on the topic in NSW Parliament.
What is Castle Law? It is a legal principle that allows individuals to use force to defend themselves against an intruder in their home without a duty to retreat. It presumes the defender has a fear of imminent death or serious bodily harm when someone unlawfully enters their residence.
Why does NSW need this? Home invaders are being physically resisted by homeowners, but then it is the homeowner that is getting hauled before the courts! This is unacceptable and unjust. Castle Law will protect NSW families and deter home invasions.
