🖤 ❤️ 💛 We’re ALL IN for National Reconciliation Week 🖤 ❤️ 💛

At St George Community Housing, this week has been about listening, learning and taking action. From supporting customer-led activities to giving our team time to engage with First Nations perspectives, we’re committed to making reconciliation part of what we do every day.

Around 90 team members took part in a powerful Tribal Warrior Virtual Reality Experience this week, deepening understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, perspectives and histories. Reconciliation is a shared journey and we’re proud to be a part of it. Thanks to all of the SGCH people, customers and neighbours who joined us this week!

Aisea and Veronica are living proof that being in a connected community is one of the keys to happy and healthy ageing. Well-known in our Riverwood community, the couple are both deeply involved helping arrange events and their local tenant group.

Thank you for making Riverwood a truly special place to live. And thank you to all of our customers who are good neighbours, making the world feel kinder, and more caring. https://bit.ly/4fE3dA7

COLOUR RUN! Bonnyrigg Youth Collective wrapped up the school holidays yesterday with a rainbow coloured fun run for locals. With hula hoops, parachutes and sack runs, the day was full of energy, smiles and family fun – finishing with neighbours coming together over a BBQ. SGCH proudly supports Bonnyrigg Youth Collective, empowering young people aged 12–25 to make a positive difference in their community.

From chef to banking, to making a difference in health across NSW — Ebony’s journey is one to be proud of 💚

A former Strive Scholar and proud Gamilaraay and Dunghutti woman, Ebony now works with the NSW Government, contributing to better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

“The scholarship supported me while I was studying a Bachelor of Business. Living alone in St George Community Housing, that extra support helped me stay focused and keep going,” Ebony said.

If you’re studying at TAFE, University or College and living in an SGCH home, you may be eligible for a $1,500 scholarship to support your studies.

Applications close Tuesday 31 March.
