is amplified by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) and features contributions from Community Radio Plus, the Community Radio Network, Community Radio Platforms, Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (Amrap), and community radio stations around the country. You may remember CBAA as the team behind past campaigns including Keep The Community In Your Radio (2016/2017), focusing on restoring $1.4 million p.a. funding that was cut from the 2016 Federal Budget, which is essential to community radio stations’ continued broadcasting on digital radio in five capital cities. The hardline approach on migration outlined by Liberal leader Angus Taylor has been met with harsh criticism from former Prime Minister Paul Keating, Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja, and Amnesty International to name a few.
