🌸✨ Rangotsav 2026 – Colours, Community & Togetherness ✨🌸

What a beautiful day it turned out to be at Rangotsav! Despite the weather, we had a wonderful time celebrating with friends — both new and old — from our Uttarakhandi community.

From colourful moments and laughter to the delicious variety of homemade food brought by everyone, the potluck truly reflected the warmth and spirit of our community. Sharing food, chai and conversations together made the day even more special.

Events like these remind us that community is built not just through big celebrations, but through simple moments of togetherness.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to making Rangotsav such a joyful gathering.

Sometimes the most beautiful traditions are the simplest ones.

This year a few families came together and spent the evening preparing Gujiya and Namak Pare, just the way it used to happen back home in Uttarakhand. Sitting together, rolling the dough, filling the gujiyas, sharing laughter, stories and memories — it truly felt like we were transported back to our childhood days before Holi.

For a few hours, our kitchens and hearts were filled with the warmth of tradition, the aroma of freshly fried gujiyas, and the nostalgia of festivals celebrated with family and neighbours.

Moments like these remind us that traditions are not just recipes — they are memories, culture and togetherness passed from one generation to the next.

Looking forward to making this a beautiful community tradition in the years to come.

🌸🎶 Uttarakhandi Baithak Holi – A Beautiful Evening of Tradition & Togetherness 🎶🌸

Our recently concluded Baithak Holi was truly a heartwarming celebration of culture, music, and community. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to relive the traditional spirit of Holi through soulful singing, harmonious baithak-style performances, and meaningful conversations.

We intentionally kept the evening as authentic and traditional as possible — from the music and seating style to the thoughtfully curated food menu. Seeing everyone participate with such enthusiasm made all the efforts worthwhile.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and contributed to making the evening so special. Your presence and participation keep our traditions alive here in Australia.

Dear All,

Just like last year, join us for a soulful Baithak Holi with traditional Hori singing, accompanied by dholak & harmonium — a warm and intimate celebration of music, colours, and Uttarakhandi culture.

The Uttarakhandi Association of Sydney (UAS) is hosting an exclusive Baithak Holi evening ahead of Holi, followed by colours, food & drinks—an evening filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us last night and made our Diwali celebration truly special! 💛

This year’s highlight was our kids — from charming stage performances to confidently emceeing the event, they stole the show! 🌸 Opportunities like these build confidence, nurture talent, and keep our young ones connected to their Uttarakhandi roots. 🌿

A big shoutout to our elders for their soulful songs and to our ladies group for those graceful dance moves that lit up the stage! 💃🎶

🌿 घर का स्वाद, पहाड़ों की याद – UAS Potluck Picnic🌿

What a wonderful Sunday it was! 🙌
Our UAS Potluck Picnic at Don Moore Reserve turned into a truly memorable day with so many families joining in, sharing food, laughter, and memories. 🍛✨

We had a beautiful spread of Uttarakhandi flavours, a variety of homemade dishes, and plenty of smiles around the picnic mats. The feedback from everyone was very positive, and it was heartwarming to see the community come together in such a vibrant way. 💚

Seeing the joy and bonding, we’re excited to make this activity more frequent so we can continue celebrating our culture and friendships.

What an incredible day it was! UAS Holi Rangotsav was nothing short of spectacular, filled with colors, laughter, music, and togetherness! 🎨✨ From vibrant gulal flying in the air to grooving on Pahari and Bollywood beats, every moment was pure joy.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined and made this festival so special! 💖 Your energy, enthusiasm, and spirit truly brought Holi to life. Special appreciation to all the families who participated, the kids who filled the park with their giggles, and the friends who came together to celebrate our culture, traditions, and unity.

What an incredible evening we had at our Baithak Holi celebration yesterday! From soulful folk melodies to energetic Bollywood tunes, the night was filled with music, laughter, and the warmth of our community.
