86 CLASS HAULED ROBEL TRAIN THIS WEEK.

8649 will be taking a Robel Train into the City Circle tonight, Monday 13th and tomorrow night, Tuesday 14th April 2026.

The train will operate as follows:

Train Number M 701:

Enfield Yard depart: 8:45pm.

Marrickville Junction: 9:00pm.

Hurstville arrive: 9:16pm.

E 702:

Hurstville depart: 9:32pm.

Sydenham: 9:43pm.

Central: 9:53pm.

Enter possession area and proceed to the worksite.

If you cannot make it out for tonight’s running, we would like to advise that 8649 will be out again on Monday 23rd April 2026 to do some more work.

More details of April’s running will be shared closer to the day.

We wish to advise that the 86 class movement will not be running tonight, owing to all scheduled work being completed overnight last night.

8649 will be out again on 13th, 14th and 23rd April 2026 and we will share all the relevant information closer to the time.

86 CLASS HAULED ROBEL TRAIN THIS WEEK.

8649 will be taking a Robel Train into the City Circle tonight, Monday 23rd and tomorrow night, Tuesday 24th March 2026.

The train will operate as follows:

Train Number M 740:

Enfield Yard depart: 9:29pm.

Marrickville Junction: 9:36pm.

Sydenham: 9:50pm.

Central Platform 17: 9:58pm.

Detach diesel locomotive and await possession to begin.

Train Number
E 740:

Enter possession area and proceed to the worksite between St James and Museum via the City Outer.

If you cannot make it out for tonight’s running, we would like to advise that 8649 will be out again on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th and Monday 23rd April 2026 to do some more work.

8649 will be taking a Robel Train into the City Circle tonight, Monday 16th March 2026.

The train will operate as follows:

Train number M 701

Enfield Yard depart: 8:44pm.

Marrickville Junction: 9:00pm.

Hurstville Platform 4 arrive: 9:16pm.

E 702:

Hurstville depart: 9:32pm.

Central arrive: 9:53pm.

Enter Possession area and proceed to the worksite near Town Hall.

If you cannot make it out for tonight’s running, we would like to advise that 8649 will be out again on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th March 2026 to do some work on the City Outer.

Enter Possession area and proceed to the worksite at Wynyard.

Wednesday 21st January 2026.

Train number M 444:

Enfield Yard depart: 12:20am.

Central Platform 17 arrive: 12:48am.

Train Number E 444:

Central Platform 17 depart: 1:15am.

Enter Possession area and proceed to the worksite at Museum.

Start up Electric Locomotive 8649.

Illawarra Junction: 10:16pm.

Central arrive: 10:19pm.

Start up Electric Locomotive 8649.

Train Number E 402:

Hurstville depart: 9:45pm.

Wolli Creek Junction: 9:54pm.

Sydenham: 9:58pm.

Illawarra Junction: 10:03pm.

Central Platform 17 arrive: 10:07pm.

Stand and wait for posession to commence before proceeding to the worksite.

The Robel Train will diesel locomotive hauled from Enfield to Central as train number M 740 as follows:

Train Number M 740:

Enfield depart: 9:29pm.

Sydenham: 9:49pm.

Central: 9:57pm

Detach diesel locomotive.

Start up Electric Locomotive 8649.

Stand and wait for posession to commence before proceeding to the worksite.

We would like to advise those who cannot make it out tonight that our electric loco will run on 24th November.

We will provide more information on each of these workings closer to the days of operation.

8649 will be taking a Robel Train into the City Circle tonight and tomorrow night.

The Robel Train will operate from Enfield to Hurstville as train number M 401 and then run as follows:

Electric Locomotive 8649 as Train Number E 402:

Hurstville depart: 9:45pm.

Wolli Creek: 9:54pm.

Sydenham: 9:59pm.

Central Platform 17 arrive: 10:10pm and await commencement of the possession. before proceeding to to the worksite.

We would like to advise those who cannot make it out tonight that 8649 will operate again into the City Circle on the evening of Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th November 2025.

Our electric loco will then be doing a very similar run to tonight’s movement on 24th November.

We will provide more information on each of these workings closer to the days of operation.

86 CLASS HAULED ROBEL TRAIN TONIGHT.

For one night only, on the evening of Tuesday 7th October 2025 , 8649 will be taking a Robel Train into the City Circle.

The Robel Train will run as follows:

Train Number M 740:

Enfield South end depart: 9:29pm.

Meeks Road Junction: 9:44pm.

Central Platform 17 arrive: 10:00pm

Detach locomotive 8163.

Electric Locomotive 8649 as Train Number E 740.

Central Platform 17 depart: 10:15pm - shunts to Platform 19 and proceeds to the worksite in the vicinity of Town Hall and forms E 741 at 3:00am.

We would like to advise those who cannot make it out tonight that 8649 will operate again on 27th and 28th October and will be hauled to Hurstville to commence those work trains.

Our electric loco will then be doing a very similar run to tonight’s movement on 4th and 24th November.

We will provide more information on each of these workings closer to the days of operation.

86 CLASS HAULED ROBEL TRAIN THIS WEEK.

For one night only, early in the morning of Friday 12th September 2025 , 8649 will be taking a Robel Train into the Eastern Suburbs Railway.

The Robel Train will run as follows:

Train Number M 142:

Enfield South end depart: 12:20am.
Meeks Road Junction: 12:34am.
Erskineville arrive: 12:40am.

Detach 81 class locomotive.
Start up Electric Locomotive 8649.

Train Number E 142:

Erskineville depart: 12:50am.
Bondi Junction Platform 2 arrive: 1:30am.

8649 detaches and runs around Robel train via Platform 1.

Bondi Junction depart: 1:40am and proceed to worksite.
