🎉 Incredible news! Another 𝐑𝟏𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Friends of Hong Ning has officially transferred another R120,000 to the Hong Ning Chinese Aged Home in Joburg! 🇿🇦❤️

This massive contribution is 100% thanks to YOU - our amazing community. Whether you attended our recent Easter Social, bought a raffle ticket, or made a direct contribution, your generosity is making a profound, direct impact on the lives of our seniors back home.

We also want to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the families and friends who made beautiful bereavement donations in loving memory of Hu Kai Hong, Ufrieda Ho, Rose Tim, and Gladys Ford. 🕊️

As the Chairman, Winkin Leong, said in his letter: Thank you for keeping our residents close to your hearts.

The numbers are in, the draws are set, and we are officially locked and loaded for the 2026 Easter Social this weekend! A massive shoutout to everyone who registered - Mah Jong and Golf have had a fantastic surge in numbers, and the competition is going to be fierce! 🏌️‍♂️🀄️

Not playing a sport? NO PROBLEM! We want the whole community out in full force. Come down as a spectator, bring a picnic blanket or a camp chair, cheer on your friends, and bring the spirit! 🙌

But before the weekend kicks off, we have TWO CRITICAL REMINDERS:

1. 🌭 𝐏𝐑𝐄-𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐁𝐎𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐒!
We say this every single time: we ALWAYS run out! If you want to guarantee your boerie roll for lunch (and let’s be honest, you do), you absolutely must book it in advance online. Do not rock up expecting leftovers - secure the goods now!

Celebrate Chinese New Year with Friends of Hong Ning! 🧧✨

Sydney is a big city, and this year, we’re bringing the celebrations to Granville! Join us for a spectacular 8-course Chinese New Year Banquet at Ocean Royale.

This is more than a dinner, it’s a chance to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and support a great cause. We are testing out new areas in Sydney to reach more of our community, so we’d love to see you there!

🥢 The Feast: An incredible 8-course menu including Crispy Skin Chicken, Garlic Prawns, Salt & Pepper Squid, and much more - all for just $40 per adult!
