Today we celebrated our Rover Units 60th birthday!

Thank you to all of our ex Rovers and the Scout community for celebrating with us today.

Our Diamond Jubilee was well spent, an afternoon full of eating and reminiscing with special awards handed out to our Unit Leader, Ruby, for 2 years of service as a Leader and to our RA Rose for 10 years of service as a Leader.

Thanks to all that attended and here’s to another 60 years of Coogee Rovers! 🗡️

On Monday we visited the Randwick Unit SES HQ. With tours of the HQ and trucks, we had lessons on their operation and equipment, learning lots and even getting a trip in a truck!

Congrats Ruby!

Last Monday our Unit Leader Ruby received a ARA Special Service Award for her continuous commitment to Scouts.

Between her role as Coogee Rovers Unit Leader, Assistant Cub Leader, Venturer Leader at AJ 2025 and Deputy Chief Director of South Met RoVenture 2025 Ruby is more than deserving of this honour.

VINYL MOOOTT!!!

It’s been a while since a moot has come out of coogee rovers but safe to say this weekend was a big success all thanks to the wonderful elias 🫶🫶

From the amazing activities to the karaoke to the absolutely pumping dance floor, this moot had it all!

Big ups to daniel and the rest of the catering team for providing michelin star grade food, definitely no complaints for that one (except the chilis from the banh mi night, they were HOT 🥵)

It was a hot weekend for sure, i don’t think anyone has been more thankful for the gorgeous coutts lagoon. It’s not normally this big a hit, especially with coogee around…
Sadly there was no slack line this weekend but don’t you worry, she’ll be back for region next year!!

Thanks to everyone that helped out and everyone that came to hangout for the wekend, it wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. Can’t wait to see you at the next one!!!

Peace and love ✌️❤️❤️❤️
