Our first Kayemet Wellness Retreat was filled with meaningful conversations, genuine connection, Jewish learning, music, laughter, reflection, and plenty of moments that reminded us how powerful it is to simply be present.

What made the weekend truly special wasn’t just the program. It was the people. A remarkable group of young adults who came with open minds, open hearts, and a willingness to grow together.

A huge thank you to our incredible leadership team: Rabbi G, Dina, Chana Michla, Rabbi Levi, Daniel and Danielle—and to every participant who helped create such a warm and inspiring atmosphere.

We left tired, grateful, and already looking forward to the next one.

This is only the beginning. 💙

The Art of Giving — and Receiving

We often think strength means being able to do everything on our own. Jewish wisdom offers a different perspective.

The world was created so that we need one another. Each of us has something to give, and each of us will sometimes need something from someone else.

Giving is more than generosity. Receiving with humility is not weakness. Both allow kindness and connection to exist.

A meaningful life requires learning the art of both. 💙

This Shabbat, consider: What can I give — and where can I allow myself to receive?

The Little Things Matter

Parashat Eikev reminds us that a meaningful life is not built only through grand gestures.

Often, it is shaped by the small things we could easily overlook: a warm smile, a kind word, a quick message, a few coins for tzedakah, or simply noticing someone who may need support.

These are the eikev moments—the quiet acts that can be easy to “step over,” yet often carry the greatest impact.

This Shabbat, let’s pay attention to the little things.

What seems small to us may be deeply significant.

Strong Foundations, Meaningful Action

The Shema is perhaps the most famous prayer in Judaism. But it’s more than a declaration of faith—it’s a blueprint for living.

שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל, ה’ אֱלֹקֵינוּ, ה’ אֶחָד
Shema Yisrael, Hashem Elokeinu, Hashem Echad.
“Hear, O Israel: Hashem is our God, Hashem is One.”

It begins with belief, grows into love, deepens through learning, continues through teaching, and ultimately finds its true expression in action.

Our values aren’t meant to stay in our minds or hearts alone. They are meant to shape the way we live, every single day.

Faith begins with what we believe—but it is revealed by what we do.

The Temple Within

The Three Weeks invite us to remember the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

But Judaism also reminds us that there is a temple that can never be destroyed: the one within each of us.

This week, two timeless lessons stand out:

⛰️ Stand tall.
The Temple was built on a mountain, teaching us not to hide our values or live small. What matters most should be lived with quiet confidence.

📈 Keep growing.
Every part of the Temple was higher than the one before it. Growth is never a destination—it is a lifelong journey, one step at a time.

As we reflect during these Three Weeks, may we strengthen the temple within ourselves and continue to grow with purpose.
