NEWS: LOTS OF WOWS AT WOW!

Books in Homes Australia was delighted to return as the charity partner for the sixth time at the recent Words on the Waves Writers Festival (WOW) on the NSW Central Coast.

This year, the Family Fun Day was held at the Gosford Regional Library, providing a vibrant and welcoming space for families to come together and celebrate books, storytelling, creativity, and imagination.

Fun was certainly the word of the day.

Events such as these remind us that reading begins not only with books, but with curiosity, creativity, storytelling, and shared experiences.

NEW ROLE MODEL ALERT: Welcome to Katina Nadebaum who is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with over 25 years of experience supporting Boards and Executive Leadership Teams across ASX-listed, multinational and privately owned organisations.

Alongside her corporate career, Katina brings lived experience and a strong commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals and families. She is a Director of the ADHD Foundation Australia Limited and serves on the Neurodiversity Advisory Board for Scope Psychology, contributing to advocacy, awareness and initiatives that support people with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

Inspired by lived experience and advocacy for neurodiversity, her books are written for all children and encourage young readers to celebrate their uniqueness and trust their emotions.

Outside of writing, Katina enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, discovering great coffee spots and planning travel adventures — often collecting moments that inspire her stories.
