Racism is everywhere. In 1999, Australia rebranded the UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial
Discrimination to ‘Harmony Day’. Today in 2026, we are yet to confront the full reality of racism in this country. It pervades our systems and institutions and affects all of us. We cannot have harmony without truth, accountability and justice.
