September meeting and doorknock for Charishma Kaliyanda MP and Nathan Hagarty MP!! Young Labor Left and Liverpool-Banks YLA members took part in a state-wide day of action today, knocking on doors to let people know what the Labor Government is delivering for them. We were very happy to hand out for Charishma and Nathan, two excellent MPs who are fighting hard for their constituents in Parliament. We can’t let One Nation get a foothold anywhere, and we need to make sure progressive voices stay in Parliament ✊❤️

Young Labor Left knocks on doors in the peoples land - Liverpool 🦅🦅‼

As the scourge of One Nation rises in popularity, and we need battlers like YOU to come join us on Saturday at 10:30 at Bigge Park, to help keep Liverpool red.

We'll be joined by Charishma Kaliyanda, the member for Liverpool, for a morning of doorknocking.

It looks like it's shaping up to be a beautiful day, so come along to get your steps in, have a bit of fun and keep the tories out!

Most importantly, we’ll also be heading to the pub afterwards for a well-earned drink.

Join Young Labor Left for our discussion on the history of the Timorese independence struggle, and to learn from activists about a movement that resisted, agitated and liberated itself.

For generations, the people of Timor-Leste fought for independence. FRETILIN stood at the heart of that struggle for national liberation and self-determination.

Here in Australia, trade unionists and solidarity activists played a proud role in building solidarity with the Timorese people. Australian activists operated the Darwin link in 'Radio Maubere' which was a crucial link between the resistance and the outside world.

Join Young Labor Left and Sydney Young Labor Association for a discussion about the independence struggle, the Australian Left's tradition of international solidarity, and the continuing political significance of FRETILIN today.

National Young Labor Left at ALP National Conference ✊🌹

This 50th ALP National Conference, Young Labor Left members from across the country came together to organise, debate and fight for a more progressive Labor party.

It has been a fantastic opportunity to learn from comrades about different ways to get policy over the line, and how we can be better activists.

As always the work doesn’t stop when conference ends, and there are many issues that still need a lot of work, and NYLL will be making sure we keep pushing for better. Solidarity always. 🌹
