This Sunday, Kumiko, Karen and Kanasa will be representing Sydney Sanshin Club at Lanterns and Lights Festival 🏮🌟

We will be performing some classical and folk songs on sanshin plus showcasing Ryukyuan dance at Liverpool Powerhouse at 3pm. We hope to see you there!

シドニーに滞在している沖縄県出身者を対象に、ウチナーンチュ飲み会（交流会）を開催します！

🗓 日にち：5月24日（日）
⏰ 時間：17:00集合・21:00解散
📍 場所：Crows Nest, Sydney
参加費：1人$40（2ドリンク＋フード付き）
参加条件：シドニー沖縄青年会のグループLINEを登録

当日は、オリオンビールや泡盛を飲みながら、みんなで楽しくおしゃべりしたり、ご飯を食べたりして、ゆんたくしましょう🍻✨三線の演奏もあります！たくさんのウチナーンチュの皆さんのご参加をお待ちしています☺️

Today in Okinawa is Sanshin Day 🪕

We celebrated a little early on Sunday with a potluck get-together, performances from Sydney Sanshin Club and our association members, and games for all!

Sanshin and Ryukyuan music is a way for us to stay connected with our culture, even when we’re oceans apart.

今日は三線の日です。

シドニーではちょっと早めに日曜日に祝いました。今回は初めて会場を借り、一品持ち寄りで集まりました。シドニー三線会の発表を始め、県人会メンバーの様々の発表があり、最後はゲームで楽しく過ごしました。

沖縄の芸能を、遠く離れたシドニーでもみんなで楽しんでます！

Thank you to everyone who attended our online chinsuko workshop, in collaboration with 🧑‍🍳🍪

Thank you to our teacher , and for helping organising this event!

It was super interesting to learn about Ryukyuan cuisine and share about our respective Kenjinkais – LA, Sydney and Gold Coast, plus Cairns Eisa Team.

And of course, what a treat to have some chinsuko at the end!

オンラインでちんすこうの作り方を元県費生のに学びました。

作りながら、琉球料理の勉強や県人会同士の交流もでき、あっという間に過ぎた2時間でした。
楽しく作って、みんなそれぞれ美味しいちんすこうができたと思います！

Earlier this month Seito (), one of our working holiday members, taught us how to make Okinawa soba from scratch!

There aren’t any Okinawa soba restaurants in Sydney, and sometimes it can be a bit difficult to find ingredients, so it was definitely a real treat!

It tasted even better since we made it ourselves, and reminded us to be thankful for every meal 🍜

1月24日にロスの県人会とコラボイベントを開催します！オンラインでちんすこうの作り方や、ロスの沖縄コミュニティーについて知ることができるワークショップになります。

ロス生まれ育ちで、県費留学で琉球料理を学んだ古堅美佐さんが今回講師を務めてくれます。参加費は$5で、プロフィールのリンクからお申し込み可能です。

Last weekend we had our second Sanshin Club meeting, and our last one for 2025 🐍

So impressed with the improvement of our beginner player, plus we welcomed another new member!

オーストラリアにワーホリ・学生ビザなどで滞在している 20〜30代の若手沖縄県出身者を対象に、ウチナーンチュ飲み会（交流会）を開催します！
