This event is a celebration of community, courage, and the journey toward opening Mounties Care Cottage in 2027 — only the second paediatric palliative care facility in NSW, the first in Western Sydney and regional NSW, and just the fifth in Australia.

A Night in Rio is more than a gala. It’s a moment of hope, inspired by Rio and so many beautiful children who continue to guide our mission.

Today we celebrate our Rio, and every beautiful child like him - and their families. You are our reason. Our purpose. Every day was a gift. Every moment, a memory we will hold onto forever.

To all the families facing decisions made with love to support their child - while not knowing, or even knowing, how it will change the path ahead - you are not alone. We see you, and we hear your cries ♥️

Their insight, stories and courage have guided the design of Mounties Care Cottage.
Where families can breathe, rest and simply be together.

Mounties Care Cottage will be more than a building - it’s hope, comfort, memories and compassion wrapped into one space.

Rio's Legacy beyond grateful and proud to this vision becoming real for the children of NSW.

Together as one both Bear Cottage and Mounties Care Cottage will serve families.

What a weekend ♥️
After being featured on , we’ve been overwhelmed by the love and support for .gift , and .kids

Because of YOU, we are now on the cusp of building the Mounties Care Cottage - a place where families facing the unimaginable can find comfort, care and dignity.

Thanks to the incredible dollar-matching support from the Melissa Lewis Foundation and our amazing community, we’ve raised over $70K for our New York Marathon campaign… and we’re just getting started 🗽🏃‍♂️

To our marathon team — .goodwin.520 and Ryan - thank you for going the distance for children living with terminal illness.
To and .hunt1062 and everyone behind the scenes — your belief and support means everything.
And to the team — thank you for helping share these stories and giving families a voice.
