The Hong Kong-Australia Business Association (HKABA) NSW Chapter launched the Young Professionals Alliance (YPA) on 16 November 2010 in Sydney, Australia.
1. Knowledge and Skills Building—this program provides members with talks on technical areas of interest, communications building workshops, and facilitates exchange of ideas and experiences among members to maximise knowledge and skills base.
For members of professional associations, some technical seminars could qualify for continuing professional education;
2. Career Enhancement and Development —most members may have already selected a career path, this program acts as a sounding board for members to ask any questions about future directions, change of career, and/or business opportunities. For jobseekers, opportunities may arise and the YPA could facilitate referrals to interested members;
3. Networking—this program recognises the importance of networking between members of same and different industries and broaden their contacts network.
